The Web Guy…
For the longest time, I’ve been known for being the ‘web guy’ or the ‘website dude’.. which hasn’t been all wrong. My focus on building this business has been surrounded by building really cool, fun websites for a variety of clients.
As the business has grown, needs evolved and clients list expanded.. there’s been a need for much more. That also means visions have changed as well. Web development is and always will be the top of mind in what we do, however, how we approach web development, website design, etc.. will forever change. Now, we look at ourselves as ‘Solutionists‘. What he hell is that?
Let Me Explain
When we start working with clients, we spend quite a bit of time.. actually, as much as we all need.. getting to know you and the business. The reason for this is because a website isn’t, in most cases, some static page that you throw a few pictures onto and let it generate business for you. We left that back in the Geocities days (did I date myself?). A website needs to be developed with the future in mind, therefore, we need to understand what your goals are in that moment for the next 3, 6, 12 months and beyond if you have it.
Just like building a house, you wouldn’t put in formica counters in if you plan on putting quartz there in 6 months, would you? No way, you’d pay for installation twice, demo once, and two counters! We look at your website the same way.. let’s find a way to do it now, so you don’t find yourself with a ‘setback’, financially or operationally, later after you’ve launched.
Finding the correct solutions for what you would like to achieve in business, is immensely crucial.
That brings me to Relationships
Something we value more than anything, and is baked into our core values, is building great relationships and friendships. Building a website is the easy part, and we find that this becomes much more involved and great when we build long lasting business relationships.. and ultimately friendships!
